day 1 & 2 - BIM

The event will start at 12am on Monday 15th June. During the following 48 hours designers, engineers, students, & amateurs will create BIMs for the Bll master plan.

day 3 - analysis & visualisation

Teams will upload their BIMs to Asite after 48 hours and the third day will be used for creating analysis (wind, thermal, structural, constructability, cost etc) from the BIMs, AVI's and PDF's. The Bll visualisation team will use the time to merge all BIMs into a single IFC model and create the site-wide visualisations. BIM Products will create a series of animations and photorealistic images of the master plan using high-powered visualisation computers rented for the event, and the PR team will release thesm to the press, TV, and online.

day 4 - exhibition & judging

An exhibition will be held where judges, the press and members of the public will be able to see the scheme and talk to the Bll team. Content including photo-realistic images, slide shows, AVI’s, and interviews with the team principles will be projected in large scale onto walls, shown on 104” plasma/LCD screens or ‘hung’ as large scale colour prints.

press conference

A press conference will be held in the afternoon to announce the results of the judging.

awards ceremony

There will be a sponsored awards ceremony and industry cocktail party in the evening.
